Antony Varghese Pepe Unleashes His Wild Side in Fiery First Look for Pan-Indian Thriller “Kaattalan”
KOCHI – The highly anticipated first look poster for Antony Varghese Pepe’s upcoming mega-budget action thriller, “Kaattalan,” was released today, setting social media ablaze. The poster reveals a stunning and ferocious new look for the actor, featuring coppery hair, piercing eyes, and a smoldering cigar, promising a high-voltage cinematic experience.
Produced by Sheriff Muhammed under the banner of Cubes Entertainments, “Kaattalan” marks their next major venture after the pan-Indian blockbuster action thriller, ‘Marco.’ The striking poster, which shows Antony Varghese with bloodied hands and face, perfectly encapsulates the film’s thrilling and mass-appeal mood. This is being touted as one of the most distinct looks in the actor’s career.
Directed by debutant Paul George, “Kaattalan” was launched with one of the grandest pooja ceremonies in recent Malayalam cinema history and is being mounted on a massive canvas as a pan-Indian project. The film recently made headlines when Antony Varghese sustained an injury during the filming of a complex action sequence in Thailand. The incident reportedly occurred while shooting a fight scene involving an elephant, choreographed by the world-renowned Kecha Khamphakdee and his team, famous for their work on the ‘Ong-Bak’ series. Interestingly, “Pong,” the celebrated elephant from the ‘Ong-Bak’ films, is also part of the “Kaattalan” cast.
The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast from across India. Music for the film is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, the Kannada music director who became a sensation with blockbusters like ‘Kantara’ and ‘Maharaja.’ The star-studded lineup includes Telugu actor Sunil of ‘Pushpa’ and ‘Jailer’ fame, Kabir Duhan Singh who gained attention in ‘Marco,’ rapper Baby Jean, ‘Pushpa’ actor Raj Tirandasu, and Bollywood actor Parth Tiwari, who was praised for his role in the blockbuster Hindi film “Kill.” The Malayalam contingent features veterans like Jagadish and Siddique, alongside vlogger and singer Hanansha.

The screenplay is penned by Joby Varghese, Paul George, and Jero Jacob, with dialogues by the acclaimed writer Unni R. “Kaattalan” is set for a simultaneous release in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
The film’s high-profile technical crew includes Renadive for cinematography, Shameer Muhammed for editing, and Sunil Das for production design, promising a visually spectacular and gripping action thriller.
