Shriya Saran Dazzles in Yuvan Shankar Raja’s Viral ‘Kanaga’ Song, Fueling Excitement for Ananda Krishnan’s 90s Madurai Saga ‘Non Violence’

CHENNAI: Anticipation for Director Ananda Krishnan’s upcoming multi-language film, ‘Non Violence’, has reached a fever pitch following the release of its first single, ‘Kanaga’. The vibrant track, composed by music maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja, has not only electrified fans but also features a dazzling guest appearance by actress Shriya Saran, whose performance has been widely praised.

The film, which stars Bobby Simha and Metro Sirish in the lead roles, is set against the backdrop of a gritty 90s Madurai. Known for his intense directorial style in films like ‘Metro’ and ‘Kodiyil Oruvan’, Ananda Krishnan is set to deliver a realistic depiction of the social environment and real-life events of the era, focusing partly on the Madurai prison system. The director has roped in a stellar supporting cast, including Yogi Babu and Aditi Balan, to bring the harsh narrative to life.

The newly released song, ‘Kanaga’, acts as a colorful and high-energy contrast to the film’s intense theme. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s composition, coupled with the powerful vocals of Rakshita Suresh and rap portions by Vozhi (lyrics by Super Subu), has been hailed as one of the composer’s latest best dance numbers.

However, the major highlight remains Shriya Saran’s mesmerizing cameo. Her stylish look and magnificent dance moves have elevated the fast-paced number, ensuring its immediate viral success across social media platforms and driving massive curiosity about the movie.

The producers have confirmed a simultaneous multi-language release for ‘Non Violence’ in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. With the combination of Ananda Krishnan’s intense storyline, Yuvan’s energetic music, and Shriya Saran’s grand presence, ‘Non Violence’ is poised to be one of the most eagerly awaited cinematic releases.
