Chennai: Actor Dhruv Vikram delivered an emotional and candid speech at the pre-release event for his highly anticipated upcoming film, Bison, which is set for a Diwali release. Generating immediate buzz, the young actor reflected on his journey, crediting his father, acclaimed actor Vikram, as his primary inspiration and offering immense gratitude to director Mari Selvaraj for his trust.
Addressing the audience, Dhruv Vikram revealed that he channels his father’s relentless dedication whenever he encounters a difficult scene. “When he is struggling so much, I wonder if we can’t try even a little bit,” he shared. The actor went on to express a deeply personal hope regarding the film’s reception by his father.
“My father (Actor Vikram) would always be disappointed in me,” Dhruv confessed, recalling past complaints from teachers about his lack of academic focus. “Because of this, he doesn’t have much faith in me. I think Bison will be a film that will make him proud. Thank you, Dad.”
Beyond his family ties, Dhruv Vikram was quick to laud the film’s visionary director, Mari Selvaraj, stating he views him as a “guru.” He emphasized his loyalty and patience, asserting, “I would have waited for him for even 10 years.” He praised the director’s unique cinematic vision and dedication to the project.
In a selfless closing remark that raised audience expectations, the actor expressed a hope focused entirely on his collaborator’s success. He thanked producer Pa. Ranjith for his investment before concluding: “I didn’t even want this film to be successful for me. I hope this film is a success for my director.”
