Exclusive: V.D. Satheesan Predicts UDF Landslide, Claims 100+ Seats in 2026 Kerala Assembly Polls

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Confident in his political strategy, Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan has forecasted a historic comeback for the United Democratic Front (UDF) in the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections. Speaking to Deepika Senior Reporter K. Indrajith, Satheesan asserted that the UDF would secure over 100 seats, effectively ending the LDF’s tenure.

Satheesan, who gained a reputation for pinpoint accuracy after correctly predicting UDF’s local body election victories in Kochi, Thrissur, Kannur, and the unexpected win in Kollam, says his current data-driven “ground report” points toward a massive wave of support.
The Breakdown: Where the UDF Wins

Satheesan outlined a district-wise strategy that he claims will leave the opposition decimated:

Northern & Central Kerala: He predicts a sweeping UDF wave across these regions, particularly in Malappuram and Ernakulam, where he expects the front to win every single assembly seat.

The Southern Shift: Highlighting Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam, Satheesan promised "miraculous" results, alongside a resurgence of the Congress in its traditional stronghold of Thrissur.

The Strongholds: He noted that Kottayam, Idukki, and Pathanamthitta would see the UDF neutralizing its rivals completely.

"I have studied the numbers and the pulse of the people meticulously. Just as my predictions for the local body elections came true, this time too, the UDF will take the reins of Kerala," Satheesan told Deepika.

Political observers note that Satheesan’s confidence is a strategic morale booster for the UDF cadre, positioning him as the primary architect of the front’s 2026 election campaign.
