THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: K.M. Abraham, who served as the Chief Principal Secretary to former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CEO of the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB), has arrived in Kerala. Following the declaration of the assembly election results, Abraham had tendered his resignation and relocated to Mumbai to pursue private business ventures.
His sudden visit comes at a time when authorities are investigating alleged financial irregularities and corruption associated with KIIFB projects executed during his tenure. Sources indicate that investigating teams have uncovered startling evidence regarding administrative oversights and fund diversions within the agency.
The state government has reportedly received preliminary audit findings and reports detailed with high-profile transactions managed under his supervision. Abraham’s trip is brief, and he is expected to return to Mumbai today.
