Tragedy Strikes: 4 Killed, Several Injured in Bilaspur Passenger-Goods Train Collision

A tragic railway accident unfolded near Bilaspur station in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of four people and leaving several others injured. A coach of a MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) passenger train collided with a stationary goods train at approximately 4:00 PM, causing significant wreckage and prompting a massive rescue operation.

​Railway officials confirmed the incident, stating that a passenger coach violently struck the goods train. Initial reports indicate a high number of casualties, with four fatalities confirmed. While the exact number of injured persons is still being tallied, all available railway and emergency resources have been mobilized to the site to ensure the injured receive immediate medical treatment.
