THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Leader of the Opposition Pinarayi Vijayan is relocating from his rented residence near Bakery Junction to a new rented home in Edapazhanji, Thiruvananthapuram. The move comes while necessary repair and renovation works progress at his designated official residence, the Cantonment House.
Pinarayi Vijayan had previously expressed strong dissatisfaction regarding the living conditions at Cantonment House. Addressing the media during a press conference, he remarked with surprise on how the previous Opposition Leader managed to reside there, citing a lack of suitable amenities and poor upkeep of the premises.
With repair works underway to make Cantonment House habitable, the former Chief Minister decided to shift temporarily to Edapazhanji until the official residence is fully renovated.
