’Captain’s’ Son and UAE Star Hotel: Swapna Suresh Drops Bomb on CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s Family After ED Summons Leak

Kochi : The surfacing of a 2023 Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s son, Vivek Kiran, in a money laundering case—reported today by Malayala Manorama—has triggered an intense political crisis, compounded by explosive new allegations from Swapna Suresh.

As the political opposition intensified its protests against the Chief Minister, Ms. Suresh took to Facebook, not only questioning the delayed action by media and central agencies but also making sensational claims about the CM’s family’s alleged financial dealings abroad.

Questioning ED’s Leniency

In her hard-hitting post, Ms. Suresh contrasted the ED’s handling of the CM’s son with that of an ordinary citizen:

”Has it just dawned upon the Malayalam media now? Had a common man’s son neglected an ED notice, there would have been an uproar: arrest, jail, court, trial… everything.”

She directly challenged the investigating agency, asserting that a thorough questioning of the CM’s son and daughter would “reveal everything like clockwork,” a fact she claimed the father was well aware of, hence the alleged reluctance to cooperate. “For that to happen, the father’s throne must fall!” she declared.

The ‘Captain’ and the UAE Hotel Deal

Ms. Suresh then recalled a startling incident from 2018, which she claimed pointed to the alleged misuse of power for financial gain:

”This reminded me of an old incident. In 2018, I, along with my former boss, the UAE Consul General, went to meet the Captain [an alleged reference to the CM]. The meeting was held at the Captain’s official residence. There, the father, the Captain, introduced his son to the Consul General and requested that assistance be provided to his son—who was working in a bank in the UAE—for his desire to purchase a Star Hotel in the UAE.”

She added a pointed note: “If the CCTV footage at the Captain’s official residence hasn’t been struck by lightning, the ED can verify this visually.”

Black Money Allegations

Concluding her post with a direct accusation of financial impropriety, Ms. Suresh posed a question to the public:

”The doubt in the minds of the general public: Is it possible for a son who is a bank employee to buy a Star Hotel in the UAE?

The answer:

Yes, it is possible… if there is black money generated by the father, mother, and sister by misusing the father’s position.”

She ended with a warning: “More truths will be revealed in the days to come… Let us wait.” The explosive statement, coming immediately after the leak of the ED summons, places Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and his family under intense political scrutiny.
