KOCHI: Thudakkam, directed by Jude Anthany Joseph and produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, has emerged as a massive commercial success at the box office. Marking the grand acting debut of Mohanlal’s daughter, Vismaya Mohanlal, alongside Aashish Joe Antony (son of Antony Perumbavoor), the survival action thriller has crossed the ₹40.60 crore mark worldwide.
Made on an estimated budget of ₹15–20 crore, Thudakkam created history on its opening day by recording the highest-ever global opening for a female-led Malayalam movie.
Despite mixed critical reviews, audience appreciation for Vismaya’s martial arts sequences and the high-octane storyline propelled the film to Super Hit status in both domestic and overseas markets.
