According to latest trade updates, the prequel garnered a staggering ₹255.75 crore in net collections across India within just five days of its release. The film, which opened strong over the Dussehra weekend, showed remarkable resilience on its first weekday.
Monday Collection Defies Weekday Drop
Kantara Chapter 1 minted an impressive ₹30.50 crore on its first Monday (Day 5), a phenomenal figure that showcases its strong audience hold despite entering the typical weekday slump. The film had previously recorded a massive opening day collection of ₹61.85 crore.
The film’s success is sweeping across linguistic markets, recording high occupancy rates on Monday: 72.70 percent in the Kannada version, followed by strong showings in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi circuits.
The phenomenal earnings have propelled the Rishab Shetty starrer past previous box office milestones, including the domestic net collection of the original KGF Chapter 1 (₹185 crore), establishing a new benchmark for Kannada cinema.
