MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is officially tying the knot with his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt, today, July 5, 2026. The couple is celebrating their union with a close-knit, intimate ceremony at the actor’s Bandra residence in Mumbai, surrounded by close family and friends.
The wedding marks the beautiful culmination of a connection that dates back two and a half decades.
From Bengaluru to Mumbai: How Love Re-Blossomed
Aamir and Gauri first met nearly 25 years ago in Bengaluru. Though they became acquainted back then, life pulled them in different directions, and they completely lost touch. Decades later, destiny intervened when they accidentally reconnected through one of Aamir’s family members in mid-2023.
The duo stayed in touch, and their friendship naturally and organically blossomed into romance. Aamir later revealed that they had been quietly dating for nearly 18 months before making their relationship public on the eve of his 60th birthday celebrations in March 2025.
The Special Day & Guest List
The couple is hosting a warm gathering of around 100 to 150 guests. According to sources, the day is scheduled to begin with the couple officially registering their marriage under the Special Marriage Act.
Aamir and Gauri have reportedly curated their favorite food items for the menu and personally overseen the wedding preparations. Along with family members and children, some of Aamir’s closest industry friends, including directors Ashutosh Gowariker and Rajkumar Santoshi, are expected to attend.
A Supportive Blended Family
Aamir has openly shared that his children—Ira, Junaid, and Azad—along with his former wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, have been incredibly supportive of this new chapter in his life. Gauri, who has a six-year-old son from her previous marriage, has also built a strong, warm bond with Aamir’s family over the past year.
