New Delhi, July 11, 2026: Motorola is all set to shake up the Indian sub-flagship market yet again. The smartphone maker has officially confirmed the launch of its highly anticipated Motorola Edge 70 Max in India on July 15th. Spotted on a dedicated Flipkart microsite, this premium device marks a major milestone as the brand’s first-ever “Max” model, positioning itself as the most powerful beast in the existing Edge 70 family.
Flat Design & Flagship Performance
Breaking away from its traditional curved-edge aesthetic, Motorola is opting for a contemporary, premium flat-edge look. The Edge 70 Max features an elegant aluminum frame paired with a glass back panel.
Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s bleeding-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, promising a jaw-dropping AnTuTu score of over 3 million. Designed for heavy multitasking and hardcore gaming, it will be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and will support advanced on-device AI operations. To keep the thermals in check during long BGMI gaming sessions, Motorola has integrated its proprietary ActivMesh cooling system, complete with a massive 5,000mm² vapor chamber.
Display and Battery Powerhouse
Visuals on the Edge 70 Max are set to be an absolute treat. It boasts a segment-first Quad HD+ 10-bit LTPO AMOLED display featuring a buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, razor-thin bezels yielding a 95.12% screen-to-body ratio, and an unprecedented 7,000 nits of peak brightness. Protecting this gorgeous panel is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The battery department is equally insane. The smartphone packs a massive 7,100mAh battery that supports 90W TurboPower wired fast charging. Even more exciting is the inclusion of the category’s first fast magnetic wireless charging solution—leveraging built-in magnets similar to Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem for seamless snap-on accessories.
Running on the latest AI-heavy HelloUI, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is gearing up to heavily challenge sub-flagships like the OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R. While official pricing is still under wraps, Motorola’s aggressive pricing history indicates this could be the ultimate steal for power users this year.
