Superstar Rajinikanth has delivered another major box-office success as his latest action entertainer, Jailer 2, continues its remarkable theatrical run.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the highly anticipated sequel has collected an estimated ₹628.05 crore worldwide within nine days of its release.
According to box-office tracking platform Sacnilk, the film has accumulated ₹348.85 crore in India net collections and ₹408.55 crore in domestic gross revenue.
Its overseas performance has been equally impressive, contributing ₹219.50 crore to the worldwide total.
The film, which opened in cinemas on October 15, 2026, has already crossed the ₹600 crore worldwide milestone.
Jailer 2 Day 9 Box Office Collection
On Friday, October 23, the film collected ₹14.50 crore net across India.
This represented a decline of approximately 15.5% compared with Thursday’s collection of ₹17.15 crore.
Despite the slowdown in daily earnings, the film continues to maintain a strong overall box-office position.
Trade analysts are closely watching its second-weekend performance, particularly the potential improvement in Saturday and Sunday collections.
Jailer 2 Surpasses Leo and Original Jailer
One of the most significant achievements of Jailer 2 is its reported entry into the list of the highest-grossing Tamil films worldwide.
With a worldwide gross of ₹628.05 crore, the sequel has surpassed the reported lifetime global collection of Vijay’s Leo, which stood at approximately ₹605.90 crore.
The film has also moved ahead of the worldwide earnings reported for Rajinikanth’s original Jailer, released in 2023.
According to current box-office estimates, Jailer 2 has emerged as the second-highest-grossing Tamil film worldwide.
Can Jailer 2 Cross ₹700 Crore?
The next major target for Jailer 2 is the ₹700 crore worldwide milestone.
The film requires another ₹71.95 crore to reach that figure.
