Superstar Rajinikanth has delivered another massive theatrical success as Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, continues its remarkable run at the worldwide box office.
Released on October 15, 2026, the Tamil action entertainer has collected an impressive ₹666.30 crore worldwide in just 10 days, emerging as one of the biggest Indian box office successes of the year.
According to box office tracking estimates reported by Sacnilk, the film has accumulated ₹373 crore in India net collections and ₹436.80 crore in domestic gross earnings.
Overseas markets have contributed another ₹229.50 crore, pushing the worldwide total beyond ₹666 crore.
Jailer 2 Records 66.6% Growth on Second Saturday
After experiencing a slowdown during the weekdays, Jailer 2 witnessed an impressive recovery on its second Saturday.
The film collected ₹24.15 crore net in India on October 24, compared with ₹14.50 crore on Friday.
This represents a remarkable 66.6% day-on-day increase.
The film registered approximately 11,591 screenings across India on Saturday, demonstrating continued audience interest during its second weekend.
Kerala Box Office: Jailer 2 Creates History
One of the biggest achievements of Jailer 2 has come from Kerala, where the Rajinikanth starrer has reportedly emerged as the highest-grossing Tamil film in the state’s box office history.
The film has collected approximately ₹63 crore in Kerala within its first 10 days.
It has surpassed the reported Kerala lifetime collection of Vijay’s Leo, which earned approximately ₹60 crore.
The original Jailer, released in 2023, had collected around ₹57.75 crore in Kerala.
The latest milestone further demonstrates Rajinikanth’s enormous popularity among Malayalam-speaking audiences.
Can Jailer 2 Break Rajinikanth’s 2.0 Record?
The next major target for Jailer 2 is Rajinikanth’s science-fiction blockbuster 2.0, directed by Shankar.
Released in 2018, 2.0 reportedly collected approximately ₹691 crore worldwide.
With its current worldwide total of ₹666.30 crore, Jailer 2 needs another ₹24.70 crore to surpass that figure.
The film also requires ₹33.70 crore to enter the prestigious ₹700 crore worldwide club.
Its strong second-Saturday performance suggests that both milestones are within reach.
