“No Gyanesh Kumar, No PM Modi”: Rahul Gandhi’s Explosive Charge at INDIA Bloc Protest

NEW DELHI: In a major show of Opposition unity, top leaders of the INDIA bloc gathered at New Delhi’s iconic Ramlila Maidan for the ‘Chalo Dilli’ mega rally to protest against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over alleged voter list manipulations.

Addressing the massive gathering, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi launched a direct attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that “Narendra Modi wouldn’t have become PM without Gyanesh Kumar”. He emphasized that the Constitution remains supreme over any political leader or wealth.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge demanded the immediate resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar, accusing the ruling government of coming to power through “vote theft”. Prominent Opposition leaders including Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee, RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, Priyanka Gandhi, and CPI(M) leaders took the stage alongside thousands of party workers.

The rally follows a symbolic ‘public impeachment’ of the CEC held at Kharge’s residence a day earlier, sparked by the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Meanwhile, the BJP dismissed the rally as a “foolish drama” and launched counter-marches led by party leaders.
