”Luxury Not Needed”: Kerala CM V.D. Satheesan Refuses Pinarayi’s Delhi Security Setup, Police and Vehicles Recalled

New Delhi: In a decisive move reflecting austerity, Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has refused the extensive security and vehicle deployment at Kerala House in New Delhi that was previously arranged during Pinarayi Vijayan’s tenure. Following this directive, the Home Department issued an official order (G.O.(Rt) No.3658/2026/HOME) on November 3, 2026, recalling all personnel and assets back to the state.

As per the order, around 16 police personnel deployed for the Chief Minister’s security duties at Kerala House, along with 2 drivers and the assigned vehicles, are being recalled to Kerala.
