Kochi : Rocking Star Yash has officially returned to the big screen with a bang. His highly anticipated action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, directed by Geetu Mohandas, registered a phenomenal opening day at the domestic box office, hitting the elite ₹100 crore net threshold in India on Day 1.
Despite generating massive footfalls across pan-India centers and setting new pre-sales benchmarks in several territories, the movie fell slightly short of dethroning the record previously set by Dhurandhar 2, which remains ahead in single-day opening numbers.

Worldwide Gross (Day 1): ~₹140.75 Crore
Comparison: Beat major openers like Jawan, Kalki 2898 AD, and Salaar, but stayed behind Dhurandhar 2 (₹103 Cr nett) and K.G.F: Chapter 2 (₹116 Cr nett).
