Ground Zero Visit: Nepal PM Directs Swift Relief Operations in Flood-Hit Nuwakot

​KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah visited the flash-flood-affected areas of the Nuwakot district to assess the damage firsthand and review local relief and rescue measures.

The Prime Minister arrived in Bidur and neighboring settlements, which were heavily impacted by recent torrential rains and flash floods. During his visit, PM Shah interacted with local authorities, emergency response security personnel, and community leaders to evaluate the total devastation caused by the disaster.

Addressing local administrative officials, Prime Minister Shah instructed authorities to provide immediate relief and emergency assistance to families displaced by the rising floodwaters. He emphasized the urgent need to clear blocked transportation channels, repair critical infrastructure, and ensure rapid restoration of power and water lines.

After completing his on-ground inspection and ensuring coordinated rescue directives, Prime Minister Shah returned to the capital, Kathmandu. The government has mobilized emergency response teams to accelerate relief supply distribution across the region.
