
Hit-Making Teams Unite: Parava Films and OPM Cinemas Announce New Film Starring Soubin Shahir
Following the monumental success of “Manjummel Boys” and “Rifle Club,” powerhouse production banners Parava Films and OPM Cinemas have joined forces for a new project, with shooting now underway in Kozhikode.
Kozhikode: The successful teams behind some of recent Mollywood’s biggest hits are back. Parava Films, co-owned by Soubin Shahir and Shawn Antony, and Aashiq Abu’s OPM Cinemas have officially commenced production on their untitled new film. The movie, which began filming in Kozhikode, marks the directorial debut of editor Manu Antony.
The film boasts a talented lead cast featuring Soubin Shahir, Lijomol Jose, Prashanth Murali, and Leona Lishoy. This project comes with high expectations, as it is the next venture for Parava Films after the industry-defining blockbuster “Manjummel Boys,” and for OPM Cinemas following the superhit “Rifle Club.”
Adding to the excitement, director and producer Aashiq Abu will be handling the cinematography, marking his latest project as a cameraman after “Rifle Club” and “Lovely.” The film’s script is penned by director Manu Antony himself, with Geethartha A R serving as the co-writer. The music will be composed by Gopakrishnan P N, a popular indie artist from Kerala known by the stage name 6091.
The project brings together a formidable technical crew. Renowned production designer Ajayan Chalissery, known for his work on “Manjummel Boys” and “Rifle Club,” is on board. Manu Antony, who gained acclaim for his editing on films like “Irratta” and “Pani,” will also be editing his directorial debut.
