Major Teaching Job Alert: Delhi Announces 5,346 Vacancies for TGT, Other Posts
NEW DELHI, October 10, 2025: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has opened a massive recruitment drive for teaching positions, announcing a total of 5,346 vacancies in schools under the Directorate of Education and the New Delhi Municipal Council. The application process, which began on October 9, invites candidates to apply online, with the firm deadline set for November 7, 2025.
The bulk of the openings are for the post of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), accounting for a staggering 5,329 vacancies. The remaining positions are for Drawing Teachers and Special Education Teachers, offering a wide range of opportunities for educators across different disciplines.
Successful candidates will be appointed to a pay scale of ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400. The selection will be based on a competitive written examination, which will be conducted in Delhi. The upper age limit for applicants has been set at 30 years.
Eligibility for the TGT and Special Education Teacher roles generally requires a relevant degree and a Central Teacher Eligibility Test (C-TET) qualification. For the Drawing Teacher post, a diploma or postgraduate degree in fine arts is necessary.

The application fee is ₹100, though women and candidates from SC/ST, PwD, and Ex-servicemen categories are exempted from payment.
