Rahul Gandhi to Gen Z: ‘Bihar’s Future is in Your Hands,’ Urges Vigilance Against ‘Vote Theft’

New Delhi: Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi issued a passionate appeal to the youth and first-time voters of Bihar, urging them to exercise their democratic right responsibly and remain vigilant against alleged conspiracies to manipulate the election process. The appeal comes on the eve of the Bihar Assembly elections.

Addressing his “young colleagues of Bihar” and “Gen-Z brothers and sisters,” Gandhi stated in a message: “Tomorrow is not just election day, it is the day to decide the direction of Bihar’s future.”

He emphasized that casting a vote is not merely a right, but democracy’s greatest responsibility, especially for those voting for the first time. Gandhi highlighted his party’s ongoing allegations of electoral manipulation in other states, stating, “You saw, how terrible vote theft game was played in Haryana. Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh – everywhere these people tried to suppress the voice of the public. Now their eyes are on Bihar, your vote, your future.”

The Congress leader, whose party is a key member of the opposition Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance), called on the youth to participate in large numbers. “Tomorrow reach your polling stations in large numbers, vote for your candidate of the Mahalliance,” he urged.

He stressed the importance of booth-level alertness, warning against “every conspiracy, every manipulation happening in the booth.” Gandhi concluded with a powerful call to action: “The greatest power of democracy is the aware public… Defeat this conspiracy of ‘vote theft, government theft’. Walking the path of truth and non-violence, Save democracy with your vote, wake up Bihar.”
