THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Extending warm Onam greetings to Malayalis across the globe, Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan highlighted the festival as a grand symbol of togetherness that transcends all barriers of caste and religion.
In his festive message, the Chief Minister emphasized that Onam brings a sense of assurance that people are not alone during times of crisis, providing the confidence needed for survival and recovery. While acknowledging that the distress caused by recent natural disasters has not completely faded, he noted that cultural celebrations help the community regain strength and optimism to move forward.
Highlighting the state administration’s preparedness, CM Satheesan assured that the government has implemented necessary measures to curb price hikes and facilitate smooth, joy-filled celebrations for all families. He also called for strong unity among citizens to counter forces attempting to spread hatred and division in society, stating that harmony is the true essence of Onam.
