”I Thought the Pain Was Normal”: Shamita Shetty Opens Up About Her Grueling Battle with Endometriosis and Perimenopause

MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Shamita Shetty has courageously opened up about her long-standing battle with endometriosis and the overlapping challenges of perimenopause. Appearing on actress Soha Ali Khan’s health-focused podcast, All About Her, the 47-year-old star shed light on the pervasive normalization of women’s reproductive pain and the emotional toll of a delayed medical diagnosis.

The Trap of Normalizing Pain
Shamita revealed that her symptoms went undiagnosed for an extended period because she initially brushed off the debilitating pain as a standard part of womanhood.
”Every time I experienced certain symptoms, I’d tell myself, ‘Maybe this is normal.’ So many things, whether it’s period pain or anything related to our hormones, are normalized for women. We’re just expected to live with them,” Shamita shared during the emotional conversation.
The actress noted that her initial routine checkups, including a Pap smear and basic gynecological tests, all returned normal results. Because the standard diagnostic tools failed to pinpoint the underlying issue, medical professionals didn’t look deeper, leaving her to believe the recurring pain was merely “part and parcel of being a woman.”

Hormonal Confusion and Surgery
The situation grew increasingly complicated when Shamita began experiencing the early stages of perimenopause—the transitional phase leading up to menopause. With severe hormonal fluctuations happening simultaneously, it became almost impossible for her to decipher which condition was causing her distress.
Known for having a high pain tolerance due to years of sports and fitness injuries, Shamita pushed through the discomfort until it began severely impacting her quality of life. The tipping point arrived six to eight months before her eventual surgery when the chronic pain began disrupting her sleep.
”When the pain started waking me up from my sleep, that’s when I realized something was seriously wrong. My body was trying to tell me that I needed answers,” she added.

A Message to Women
By sharing her harrowing experience, Shamita hopes to encourage women to advocate for their health, listen closely to their bodies, and refuse to suffer in silence from conditions that are routinely dismissed.
On the professional front, Shamita Shetty was last seen delivering a critically acclaimed performance in the 2023 coming-of-age theatrical drama The Tenant.

Power Shifts, But Simplicity Stays: Kerala CM V.D. Satheesan Retains His Old Official Car and Staff Team

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a political landscape where assuming the highest executive office often comes with immediate upgrades to luxury fleets and revamped personal staff, Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has set a striking benchmark of simplicity and continuity. Breaking away from traditional conventions, the newly sworn-in Chief Minister has chosen to retain his previous official vehicle and office team.
Generally, taking charge as Chief Minister involves a complete overhaul of the official ecosystem, including brand-new luxury vehicles and a freshly scouted core team. However, CM Satheesan requested the state protocol department to return the exact same official car he used during his tenure as the Leader of the Opposition.
Extending this approach beyond just his mode of transport, the Chief Minister has also permitted his entire 20-member staff team from the Opposition Leader’s office to continue running his new Chief Ministerial office.
Political analysts view this unexpected move as a powerful statement of functional continuity and deep trust in his long-term associates. By prioritizing team loyalty and administrative familiarity over the usual perks and glamour of power, V.D. Satheesan has delivered a clear message: the change in designation changes the responsibility, not the man or his principles.

Left School at 15, Built a ₹7,000 Crore Startup: Meet Silicon Valley’s Newest Phenom, Harshita Arora

SAN FRANCISCO / SAHARANPUR: In an ecosystem often dominated by Ivy League degrees and decades-long resumes, 25-year-old Harshita Arora is rewriting the rules of Silicon Valley. Hailing from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Harshita has officially been named a General Partner at Y Combinator (YC)—the world’s most prestigious startup accelerator—making her the youngest person ever to hold the position in the organization’s history. Her journey from a small town in India to the peak of global venture capital is nothing short of cinematic.

Ditching School for Code
Harshita’s obsession with technology began at age 13 when she first discovered coding. Recognizing that traditional schooling was slowing her down, she made the unconventional and bold decision to drop out of formal education at just 15 years old.

By 16, she built the Crypto Price Tracker app, a portfolio management tool that caught the attention of Apple, got featured on the App Store, and was later acquired. Her early technical genius earned her India’s prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar in 2020, presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Pivot that Built an Empire
Armed with an O-1 visa (granted to individuals with extraordinary ability), Harshita moved to San Francisco and co-founded AtoB alongside Vignan Velivela and Tushar Misra.
Entering Y Combinator’s Summer 2020 batch, their initial business idea was completely upended by the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of giving up, the co-founders spent weeks conducting ground research at truck stops across California. They uncovered an outdated, fraudulent, and fee-heavy payment system in the heavy logistics sector.

That pivot birthed AtoB—frequently described as the “Stripe for Trucking.” The fintech company modernizes financial infrastructure for the logistics industry by offering transparent fuel cards, real-time expense tracking, and instant payouts. Today, AtoB serves over 30,000 trucking fleets across the United States and is valued at approximately $800 million (around ₹6,700 to ₹7,000 crore).

A Historic Milestone at Y Combinator
Having successfully scaled her startup through its Series C funding round, Harshita is transitioning from building her own company to shaping the future of others. After a brief, highly successful stint as YC’s youngest Visiting Partner, she has been elevated to full-time General Partner.
”She brings deep fintech and infrastructure experience, a founder’s instinct for product, and the perspective of someone who’s been building companies since she was a teenager,” stated YC President Garry Tan.

Harshita’s rise is a powerful reminder to the global tech community that real-world execution, relentless curiosity, and problem-solving can easily beat traditional credentials.

The Ultimate Powerhouse: Motorola Edge 70 Max Slated for India Launch on July 15th with Monstrous Specs!

New Delhi, July 11, 2026: Motorola is all set to shake up the Indian sub-flagship market yet again. The smartphone maker has officially confirmed the launch of its highly anticipated Motorola Edge 70 Max in India on July 15th. Spotted on a dedicated Flipkart microsite, this premium device marks a major milestone as the brand’s first-ever “Max” model, positioning itself as the most powerful beast in the existing Edge 70 family.

Flat Design & Flagship Performance
Breaking away from its traditional curved-edge aesthetic, Motorola is opting for a contemporary, premium flat-edge look. The Edge 70 Max features an elegant aluminum frame paired with a glass back panel.

Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s bleeding-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, promising a jaw-dropping AnTuTu score of over 3 million. Designed for heavy multitasking and hardcore gaming, it will be paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and will support advanced on-device AI operations. To keep the thermals in check during long BGMI gaming sessions, Motorola has integrated its proprietary ActivMesh cooling system, complete with a massive 5,000mm² vapor chamber.

Display and Battery Powerhouse
Visuals on the Edge 70 Max are set to be an absolute treat. It boasts a segment-first Quad HD+ 10-bit LTPO AMOLED display featuring a buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, razor-thin bezels yielding a 95.12% screen-to-body ratio, and an unprecedented 7,000 nits of peak brightness. Protecting this gorgeous panel is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

The battery department is equally insane. The smartphone packs a massive 7,100mAh battery that supports 90W TurboPower wired fast charging. Even more exciting is the inclusion of the category’s first fast magnetic wireless charging solution—leveraging built-in magnets similar to Apple’s MagSafe ecosystem for seamless snap-on accessories.

Running on the latest AI-heavy HelloUI, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is gearing up to heavily challenge sub-flagships like the OnePlus 15R and iQOO 15R. While official pricing is still under wraps, Motorola’s aggressive pricing history indicates this could be the ultimate steal for power users this year.

Merino Magic Strikes Again! Super-Sub Fires Spain Past Belgium into World Cup Semi-Finals

LOS ANGELES — Mikel Merino cemented his status as Spain’s ultimate tournament savior, scoring a dramatic 88th-minute winner to guide La Roja to a thrilling 2-1 victory over Belgium in the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-finals. With the win at the Los Angeles Stadium, the reigning European champions have booked a blockbuster semi-final showdown against France in Dallas.

First Half: Striking First and Fighting Back
Spain looked in control early on and broke the deadlock in the 30th minute. Midfielder Fabián Ruiz reacted fastest to a loose ball, firing home a powerful rebound to give La Roja a deserved 1-0 lead.

However, Belgium refused to back down. Just before the halftime whistle in the 41st minute, Timothy Castagne delivered an absolute peach of a cross following brilliant buildup play from Kevin De Bruyne. Charles De Ketelaere rose remarkably well to glance a textbook header past Unai Simón, ending Spain’s six-game clean sheet streak and leveling the score at 1-1.

Second Half: Drama and Goalkeeping Blunder
The second half turned into a high-stakes chess match with tactical shifts from both sides. The massive turning point arrived in the 71st minute when Belgium’s legendary goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was forced off the pitch due to a leg injury. He was replaced by backup shot-stopper Senne Lammens.

As the game looked destined for extra time, Spanish coach Luis de la Fuente brought on midfield maestro Mikel Merino in the 85th minute. Just three minutes later, young defender Pau Cubarsí unleashed a powerful long-range effort. Lammens unfortunately spilled the initial save right back into the danger zone, and a predatory Merino pounced instantly on the rebound to smash the ball into the roof of the net.

Despite seven long minutes of stoppage time, Spain stood incredibly firm against a desperate Belgian frontline to secure their place in the final four.

Bull Run Reloaded: Why Sensex Skyrocketed 700+ Points and Nifty Crossed 24,100 Today!

Mumbai: The Indian equity markets witnessed an explosive bullish session today as the benchmark BSE Sensex surged by over 700 points, while the broader NSE Nifty comfortably scaled past the historic 24,100 mark. Investors pocketed billions in wealth within hours of the opening bell, completely shifting the market sentiment into high gear.

Financial analysts and market experts point toward five definitive catalysts that fueled this aggressive buying spree across major sectors.
1. Robust Global Cues & Wall Street Support
A massive overnight rebound in US markets set a highly positive tone for Asian peers. Key indicators on Wall Street showed stability, mitigating recent fears of global inflation and prolonged high-interest rates. This relief rally instantly trickled into the Indian bourses.

2. Heavy FII Short-Covering & Domestic Inflows
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs), who had maintained defensive short positions, aggressively turned buyers to cover their tracks. Coupled with uninterrupted, powerful inflows from Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) and retail mutual fund SIPs, the market liquidity reached an all-time high, pushing stock valuations upward.

3. IT and Banking Sector Heavyweights Take the Lead
Market leaders in the Information Technology (IT) and Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sectors acted as the ultimate engines of today’s growth. Positive earnings commentary from top IT tech firms and solid asset quality metrics from major banking players drew massive block deals early in the day.

4. Favorable Macroeconomic Data
Key domestic economic indicators played a major role in restoring investor confidence. Steady GST collections, controlled retail inflation projections, and strengthening manufacturing PMI indices reassured both local and global funds that India’s economic growth remains fundamentally unmatched.

5. Softening Crude Oil Prices
For an import-dependent economy like India, a cooling trend in international Brent crude oil prices served as a massive structural relief. Lower energy costs directly translate into reduced input costs for Indian corporate sectors, drastically boosting profit margins and attracting value investors back into the game.

Les Bleus March On! Quickfire Double From Mbappé and Dembélé Breaks Moroccan Hearts as France Secure Semi-Final Spot

FOXBOROUGH, USA – Two-time world champions France booked their spot in a third consecutive FIFA World Cup semi-final after overcoming a stubborn Moroccan side 2-0 at the Boston Stadium on Thursday. Quickfire second-half goals from talisman Kylian Mbappé and winger Ousmane Dembélé broke the deadlock in an intense quarter-final clash.

First-Half Penalty Drama
France dominated possession early on, almost taking the lead in the fifth minute when Dayot Upamecano’s header was saved cleanly by Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou. Les Bleus were presented with a golden opportunity to break the deadlock in the 28th minute after Noussair Mazraoui brought down Mbappé inside the box. However, following a lengthy VAR check, Bounou guessed correctly and brilliantly denied Mbappé’s penalty effort, keeping the Atlas Lions level at the interval.

Six Minutes of Magic
The tactical deadlock finally shattered on the hour mark. Mbappé made amends for his earlier miss by curling a sensational right-footed strike into the far corner from the edge of the box, marking his 8th goal of the tournament.

Just six minutes later, before Morocco could properly regroup, Mbappé turned provider. He slipped a pass to Ousmane Dembélé, who confidently drove through the midfield and slotted a low finish into the bottom corner to make it 2-0.

Morocco fought valiantly but struggled to breach the solid French defense, with their best effort coming in the 83rd minute via an Azzedine Ounahi free-kick that was decisively parried by Mike Maignan. France comfortably controlled the closing stages and will now face either Spain or Belgium in the semi-finals in Arlington, Texas.

Honeymoon on Wheels Costs TTE His Job! Indian Railways Suspends Official Over Viral ‘First AC Coupe’ Decor

0

MUMBAI / JALNA: A romantic surprise planned for a newlywed couple inside an Indian Railways train has backfired heavily. The South Central Railway (SCR) has placed a Chief Ticket Inspector (CTI) under immediate suspension and ordered a high-level departmental inquiry after a video showing a First AC coupe lavishly decorated like a “honeymoon suite” went viral across social media platforms.

The incident took place aboard Train No. 11002 Nandigram Express (running between Mumbai CSMT and Balharshah) at the Jalna railway station in Maharashtra.

Inside the ‘Suhagraat Express’
The viral clip, which many netizens jokingly dubbed the “Suhagraat Express,” showcases a reserved private First AC coupe completely transformed. The ceiling was blanketed with red and white balloons, the lower berths were covered in clean white sheets styled with a heart shape made of red rose petals, and thousands of additional petals were scattered across the floor. To top it off, a string of fairy lights illuminated the cabin alongside a prominent “I Love You” message pasted on the upper berth wall.
Reports indicate that the couple had privately booked an event-styling service online based out of Jalna to execute the surprise before they boarded the train.

The Security Breach and Railway Action
While internet users were highly divided—some praising the romantic gesture and others questioning the fire hazards of balloons and lights—the Indian Railways viewed the incident through a strict security lens.

According to railway authorities, the primary issue was not the decoration itself, but the serious security breach that allowed outsiders to trespass onto a moving public vehicle. A senior spokesperson for the South Central Railway confirmed that a private decoration team entered the premium coach at Jalna station entirely without authorization.

“The decorator’s entry into the coach at Jalna station was unauthorized and is viewed as a serious lapse. The concerned staff member (the Ticket Checker on duty) has been placed under suspension, and a detailed departmental inquiry has been ordered,” the railway zone stated.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) has also summoned and booked the event decorator under the provisions of the Railway Act 1989 for unauthorized entry, boarding without a ticket, and trespassing. The inquiry will further investigate how outsiders managed to gain prolonged, unsupervised access to a First AC coach.
