However, Fluminense controlled much of the opening period and created several dangerous opportunities.
Santos gradually improved towards the end of the first half.

The two quick goals completely changed the momentum of the match.
Fluminense attempted to respond with several attacking substitutions, but Santos successfully protected their narrow advantage.
Neymar’s Performance: No Goal, but Huge Influence
Neymar was one of the most influential players on the pitch despite finishing without a goal or official assist.
The Brazilian forward played approximately 87 minutes and remained actively involved in Santos’ attacking combinations.
His movement between midfield and attack helped create space for his teammates.
One of Neymar’s best opportunities came in the second half when his effort struck the goalpost.
Another promising attempt went over the crossbar.
Beyond his attacking contributions, Neymar also impressed with his defensive commitment and willingness to track back.
