The 18-year-old winger, who had been open about the relationship since it was confirmed in August, broke the news to RTVE Catalunya reporter Javier de Hoyos. Yamal stated that the split was amicable, aiming to shut down recent gossip.
“We are not together anymore, it was not for any infidelity,” Yamal told Hoyos. “We have simply parted ways, and that’s it. Everything that is coming out has nothing to do with us. I’ve not been unfaithful or gotten with someone else.”
