MUMBAI: In a major breakthrough into the sensational shooting incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu area, law enforcement agencies have apprehended three suspects from Rajasthan’s Kota railway station. The arrests were made in a joint operation by the Mumbai Police, Rajasthan Police, and the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) as the accused attempted to flee towards Delhi and Nepal via the Pune-Jaipur Express.
The chilling incident unfolded on Sunday evening around 7:00 PM when Tiger Shroff was leaving a popular football club in Juhu. According to eyewitnesses and preliminary police findings, three bike-borne assailants opened fire at the actor’s moving BMW vehicle. Though Tiger Shroff miraculously escaped major direct gunshot injuries—sustaining minor scratches from glass shards and gunpowder—his driver, Firdaus, and an autorickshaw driver sustained injuries. Displaying exemplary presence of mind, Shroff took control of the steering wheel and rushed the injured to Nanavati Hospital.
Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility
Shortly after the attack, notorious overseas-based operatives linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, identified as Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, claimed responsibility via social media and audio messages. The gang alleged that the attack was a warning directed at individuals working with superstar Salman Khan, claiming that Shroff had ignored earlier warnings. Following the attack, security has been drastically stepped up around Salman Khan’s Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartments, with heavy police deployment and bulletproof jackets.
Swift Action and Arrests in Kota
Following the shooting, the Mumbai Police formed 15 specialized teams, analyzing CCTV footage that traced the attackers’ escape route along SV Road and Vile Parle. Sharing intelligence with Rajasthan counterparts, the Kota City Police successfully intercepted the trio at the railway station within 15 minutes of receiving inputs.
The detained suspects have been identified as 22-year-old Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan (a bike taxi driver from Bihar), 18-year-old Rehan from Haryana, and a 17-year-old minor from Sonipat, Haryana. Initial interrogations suggest that the attackers were collectively paid ₹50,000 for the hit and were in contact with overseas handlers linked to the Bishnoi syndicate.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde strongly condemned the incident, assuring the Shroff family of absolute security and vowing that the state government will crush criminal syndicates with an iron fist. The investigation remains active as authorities probe deeper into the conspiracy and weapon trails.
